Happy Sunday!

Sundays for me is all about nourishing the body and mind. Especially  if there has been alcohol in the picture over the weekend, which it has.
A lovely, nutritious breakfast/brunch is an absolute must! Today I had smoked salmon, scrambled eggs with chives, a little salad, and some oatcakes. Can’t go wrong with that!

Salmon is, as you probably know, a great source of essential fatty acids. More precise Omega-3, and did you know omega-3 is essential for proper brain function? Omega-3 had also, anti-inflammatory properties, especially in the digestive tract. Not only is omega-3 great, but salmon has an impressive nutrient content. This wonder fish is packed with Vitamin D (especially good for us who lives in the UK or other countries the sun is a rare sight), along with a high content of B12, selenium, protein and vitamin B3 to mention a few.

And of course, salmon is a beauty food, omega-3, and certain antioxidants (astaxanthin) that are found in salmon is a key to having healthy looking skin. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and unclogs pores. So ladies, by eating salmon 2-3 times a week can do wonders to your outer beauty.
