So my biggest weakness is pizza. I LOVE pizza, too much. So I thought its time to make a healthier version of it! This is a deep pan pizza, and its quite heavy. You can make two medium pizzas of the dough or one big one. I made one big one and the pizza crust got very thick.
How to make it?
Pizza dough:
3 – 4 cups of whole wheat flour
1 cup whole wheat bran
2 cups of water
1 package dry yeast
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup olive oil(or any oil)
Add two cups of flour, yeast and salt in bowl. Add water and oil(about 30 degrees) in the bowl, mix up and add rest of flour until you get a dough, add more flour if needed. work the dough for about 3-5 min. Set aside and let it rest for at least 15 min. the longer the better.
Pizza sauce:
2 garlic cloves pressed
1 tbs olive oil
1 can crushed tomato puree
Dash of brown sugar or cocosa
1 tsp italian seasoning
1/2 tsp basil
dash of cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp pepper mix
Cook garlic in olive oil in a small saucepan till tender. Add rest of the ingredients and let it simmer for about 30 min.
Then you roll out the dough on baking paper in whatever form you like, add some cheese first.
 Add the pizzasauce
And topping! I used fresh mozzarella as its lower in fat.
Cook for about 25-30 min on 200 degrees in the oven.
