The past week I’ve been trying and testing a lot of health products! And I’ve got so much to share! Also, I’m moving in 2 weeks time to a new flat, closer to the city centre – which means better access (walking distance) to real foods – so you’ll probably be seeing a lot more product reviews!
I’ve got a real crave for sweet things and nearly almost need something sweet after my lunch or dinner. Even if it’s just some raw honey on an oatcake or an apple – I need something. Sorry, let me rephrase that – I WANT something. Big difference.
I don’t think there’s any need for cutting out sweet stuff to lose weight or living a healthy lifestyle. It’s just about eating the right sweet stuff, such as fruits and other natural sweet ingredients. So making your sweets and treats is the way forward. But if you are on the go and pass a health food shop you can find a lot of good treats there too, just with a bit bigger price tag. And here’s one I tried out:
100 % Natural, Organic Raw Chocolate Brownie with Coconut & Chia
A healthy brownie! Yes, please! Now first, this wasn’t that expensive, it cost 2.29 pounds, and I thought that was alright. But some might argue, it’s not very big! But in all honesty, you don’t need anymore.
Now first – taste; it tasted well nice, however, not amazing. And if you don’t like dark chocolate, you can drop this. So I would say this is only tasty for dark chocolate lovers. Although, I never used to like dark chocolate until I started eating it, so anyone can become dark chocolate lovers, just saying. Take it from a person who used to think she would rather eat shit that put a dark chocolate in her mouth.
Ingredients! All natural, my fave. Like the fact chia seeds are added for excellent fibre and protein content along with dates which are naturally sweet and are loaded with essential minerals and vitamins! Nothing bad to say about this at all – except maybe the date syrup – I’m not an expert on syrup, but extracting syrup from fruits can be very processed – damaging a lot of the nutrient content. But as I said, I’m not an expert on the industrial process of syrup making.
However, one minus thing about this is that the consistency isn’t like a typical brownie. Yes, it’s soft and nice to bite into – but when I think of a brownie, I think of a gooey centre and crisp outlay. Which this brownie does not have.
But overall, tasty. Would I buy again? Yeah.
